A New Find

Over the past few weeks I've been reading more and more about BB creams {airbrush in a bottle!} so after finding a coupon for L'Oreal's Youth Code line in my latest In Style magazine, I thought I would try it out.

Avail. at Drugstores: $16.99

BB cream stands for Blemish Balm or Blemish Base and is meant to be a multi-use product.  They act as a moisturizer, foundation, primer & sunblock and are a great cross between makeup and a skin care product.  Historically these have been huge sellers in the Asian market and are starting to make waves in the US.  Many mass and prestige brands have products to choose from: Stila, Estee Lauder, Garnier to name a few.  Most are lighter than a foundation, but provide more coverage than moisturizer, which was great for me because in the summer months I try to avoid traditional foundation when I can.

I have only used the L'Oreal Youth Code BB cream for a few days, but I do like the finish it provides.   Like most brands, L'Oreal offers multiple shades to match your complexion -- though I think I may have gone too dark with "medium."  But it didn't feel like I was wearing heavy makeup and I really liked the even coverage it provided.  Many of my blemishes and dark spots seemed to disappear.  I also love that it has SPF in the product - it means I don't have to layer one more product but still protects my skin! I definitely am a convert and can see this product as a permanent addition to my beauty routine!

Have you tried BB Creams?  What do you think?

Until tomorrow . . .
